The El Dorado AVID Program

Welcome to the home page of the AVID program at El Dorado High School! This website is to show the world how the AVID group plans to have a better future.

AVID Students are required to have community service hours. Not only is this good for the community, but it is also good for the students. Through community service, students develop leadership and workmanship skills.

Through Fundraising. AVID students are able to take field trips to differnt universities. These trips allow the students to get a feel for what college life is really like. It also helps student realize what types of universities fit them best.

The Fall Festival was one of the many fundraisers done by AVID. AVID students sold bratwursts in order to raise money for college visitations.

The AVID Program holds leadership conferences to help students work on their leadership skills. Several different activities are designed to encourage team building.

The AVID Coordinator, Mrs. Tanya Gallegos, has a deep love for all her AVID students. In appreciation for her efforts, the AVID sophomore class presented their favorite teacher with a gift.
